What we support
- Keyboard navigation, visible focus, semantic headings, labels, and status announcements.
- Text resizing and browser zoom up to 200 percent without losing the core workflow.
- Reduced-motion preferences and alternatives to interactions that depend only on color.
- Candidate instructions that separate required checks from monitoring disclosures.
- A company-set time limit and an accommodation contact on each invitation.
Assessment accommodations
The hiring company decides and applies candidate accommodations. Contact the accommodation email in your invitation before starting. Do not include medical details in BuildInterview form fields or ordinary support email. For approved extra time, the company creates a separate interview version with the adjusted whole-test limit and issues a new invitation. An invitation to an already locked version keeps that version's limit.
Known constraints
Coding editors, browser screen capture, fullscreen, camera, microphone, and connected-display verification depend on browser and operating-system accessibility behavior. If one of these controls prevents fair participation, do not start the attempt. Ask the hiring company for an accommodation or an alternative assessment route.
This statement describes our target and testing process. It is not a claim that every page or third-party browser control has been independently certified.
Report an accessibility problem
Include the page, browser, assistive technology, and the action you could not complete. Do not send medical information. We will use the report to reproduce and prioritize the issue.
Questions about these terms or notices can be sent to hello@buildinterview.com. Candidates should also use the accommodation or appeal contact provided by the hiring company in their invitation.
